Written and recorded in the year 1999. I'd been going around the center of London on my bicycle with a portable DAT recorder with the aim of using found sounds. I managed to record a lot of tourists around Westminster Bridge which are featured on Scary Song.

My intention was to record the scariest two songs I could. The second one I do find very frightening.

The photograph is me in a photo-booth around 1985 which would make me fifteen or sixteen. I look hacked off with life which I undoubtedly was. Home life was pretty chaotic and I was struggling through my exams. Not a pleasant time, although I was obsessed and lucky enough to be alive in a golden period for pop music at this time. Prince, Kate Bush, etc.

I spent ages getting my hair to flick like that.
